Indoor Coverage

SIGMO

Use for outdoor routes, commutes, roads, trains, as well as areas, such as zones, postcodes etc.

Product

Take the pain out of in-building coverage surveys with SigSite. This unique device collects signal strength and quality measurements whilst at the same time producing a floor plan of the surveyed area. The device requires no technical skills to use, so it can even be sent to a building facility manager for self-surveying or used by sales/account managers to assess coverage quality as part of a business user sales drive. All the data is loaded into a central server for post-survey analysis.

SigSite with SignalScore.png
  • floor51 has developed SigSite to drastically reduce the costs of in-building surveys

  • SigSite is a simple to use surveying and floor plan creation tool. It automatically constructs a floor plan as signal strength coverage data is collected

Floorplans will be created, saved and can be reused.
  • SigSite can be used by staff or sent to the building manager for self-serving surveys to be carried out

  • This solves building access issues and reduces the costs of the survey

How it works

Data flows from devices to dashboard in real-time

Scan the indoor space by pointing the device -  no technical skills required.

Coverage for cellular and Wi-Fi is automatically provided together with a floor plan.

The data is automatically uploaded to your account together with the site's metadata.

Scenarios

Mass in-building surveys

CHALLENGE

Conducting coverage surveys inside buildings to assess mobile network quality can be expensive. Valuable resources can be tied up doing surveys and costly external contractors need to be hired

  • Indoor Plus can be used by staff or sent to the building manager for self-serving surveys

  • Photos can be taken during the survey and are included in the floorplan file with an in-place camera preview

  • This solves building access issues and reduces the costs of the survey

Compare radio performances

CHALLENGE

Access to all parts of the target building can be difficult to organize. After a signal survey, a physical survey may still be required to ascertain where to install any new infrastructure that may be required.

  • Mobile Signal Strength measurements are recorded on all bearers

  • additional quality measurements are taken on the 3G and 4G bearer.

  • The device can be locked to a specific bearer

  • It can also capture Wi-Fi APNs as part of the survey

Create and manage digitized maps

CHALLENGE

The absence of digitized maps is a hindrance. And after a signal survey, a physical survey may still be required on where to install any new infrastructure that may be required.

  • Floor plans are automatically produced for the area surveyed

  • The data files are uploaded to a central server for post-processing and export to other systems

  • Position markers and photos can be taken during the survey and are included in the floorplan file with an in-place camera preview
